KulturCafé Berlin
The Café is located in the same building and is administered independently of the Institute. Opened in 1988, it soon has become a popular meeting point for Bolivians, Germans and visitors from the whole world, and is one of the best known and oldest established cafés in Sucre.
The Menu…
The Café offers specialities of a Bolivian-German cuisine, starting with an abundant breakfasts. The lunch menu changes daily. We offer cakes and pies for afternoon tea, hot dishes and small snacks at night time. All dishes are for take-away as well.
The Café is famous for its “papas rellenas” (big potatoes with a special cheese filling, served in a sauce of tomato and onion).
Events in the Café
Peñas (evenings with traditional folk music) take place regularly in the Café. Specialities of traditional Bolivian cuisine are then served in fired clay dishes (”comida nativa”). Moreover, the Café organizes expositions, video presentations and other cultural events together with the ICBA.
